A blog without traffic is like an ocean without waves. Nice to look at but no fun. Speaking as a surfer of course. Perhaps not the best analogy. But the point is that your business stands no chance of growing without traffic flowing to your site.

However, in the search of traffic comes the mistaken idea that all traffic is good. Well, that’s like being a car mechanic and having hundreds of cyclists visiting your shop every day. It might seem good, you have feet in your shop right? But those feet belong to people that have no interest in your products or services. You need to attract petrolheads to your business.

A thousand visitors to your site might sound good. However, numbers are valueless. Rather have a hundred visitors that are invested in your niche. This is far more likely to result in sales conversions.

A desperation to improve their numbers has led some bloggers to buy followers for their blog and social media accounts.
